My client is a market leader in their specialist field, with international clients and more than 20 years’ experience. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Senior Technical Support Specialist to help support and manage their internal IT infrastructure.
Senior Technical Support Specialist – More Info and Duties:
In the role of Senior Technical Support Specialist, you will ensure that employees’ queries, problems and issues of a technical IT / IS nature are fully resolved, and the outcome is communicated and logged. Duties;
- Be the first point of contact for all employees for network issues, hardware issues, printers etc.
- Oversee all projects regarding IS Infrastructure (data centre & Cloud)
- Provide second-line support to the Customer Service Team and customers, including assisting with incident handling for outages.
- Provide training on internal systems and products to new and existing
employees to ensure efficient use of systems and develop product
knowledge.
- Maintain the quality of the induction training programme and deliver sessions
to employees where necessary.
- Specify hardware requirements for new equipment (PCs, Printers etc).
- Administration of Active Directory, Onboarding, offboarding, password resets and unlocking of accounts
Senior Technical Support Specialist – Over to You!
- A minimum of 3 years of Infrastructure Technical Support experience
- Experience managing and maintaining Active Directory, implementing Group Policies.
- Networking experience including managing DNS records, setting-up, IPSEC tunnels (physical hardware and cloud).
- SSL and VPN certificate management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or related discipline OR relevant IT qualifications
- Maintaining IS027001 Management System
- Experience with Office 365 Administration
- Ability to work independently under general guidelines with strict deadlines
- Hold a full driving licence and a willingness to travel to other sites and the data centre occasionally.
