Quality Automation Specialist
Edinburgh | £42,000 - £50,000 + 10% pension (some flexibility for the right candidate)
An exciting opportunity for a hands-on QA Automation Tester to join a major UK financial services organisation, working on technology projects that support customer borrowing services.
You'll join a small team responsible for testing and improving systems that help manage customer overdrafts, with additional exposure to lending projects and opportunities to broaden your experience over time.
The role
- Develop and maintain automated tests and robust regression testing suites.
- Write automation code and carry out end-to-end, integration and manual testing.
- Identify what needs testing, prioritise effectively and help improve testing approaches.
- Work with Java-based Selenium automation, Postman and REST APIs.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders and colleagues across the wider technology team.
About you
- You have hands-on experience in software testing and test automation.
- You're confident writing your own automated test scripts and understand how to build effective regression testing.
- You can identify risks, prioritise testing and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Java, Selenium, Postman and REST APIs would be particularly valuable.
- Experience of working with Agile methodologies and within an Agile team.

What's on offer?
- Salary of £41,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, with potential flexibility for the right candidate.
- 10% pension contribution.
- Hybrid working, with two days per week in the Edinburgh office, days TBC.
